Winner of The Big Pitch 08/09 First, we experience the three days from the perspective of a personality called Adam but with missing gaps in the timeline where the other personalities have control of the body; he represents the audience during this first act. Adam appears to be suffering from severe amnesia accompanied by memory blackouts; unbeknown to him he is a new personality who takes his first breaths in the very first scene and he is on a journey of total discovery filled with missing blank periods of time after which he finds himself in inexplicable situations sometimes threatening his very new life. In the second act the film goes back to the beginning of the timeline and follows Benedict's personality, answering questions and posing new ones. Benedict is paranoid to the extreme. For as long as he can remember he has spent half his life unaware of what his body is doing and as he searches for the truth behind his past he finds evidence of murder and conspiracy which, on closer inspection, may hold the key to the truth. The third act tells the story of Victor, an aggressive and proactive everyman who remembers his life before the personalities split and is intent on regaining his life. Victor revisits all of the gaps in the narrative with a fresh perspective and revelations at every turn. At the end of each act, the audience will be left with more questions but a deeper understanding of the protagonist's dilemma. The questions will be addressed and often inverted but most importantly they’re not quite answered until the very final scene. |
